POWER RANGERS
Adam Park:Lion Ranger. Heaven Illusion Star, Green. 17-years-old, from Angel Grove East. Born in 1985. He worked in a pet store. Learned the Kukishin style from Master Mao, the owner of a plant store who lived near his home. Was briefly enrolled in the Ikkazuchi Way martial arts school. He was shy and withdrawn. His father, police detective Trevor Park, gave him a hard time for reading fantasy novels and daydreaming in school. In 2002, he was chosen by Master Kaku to become a Ranger. As a Ranger, Adam controlled the Star Lion.
Billy Cranston: Billy Cranston:Kirin Ranger. Heaven Time Star, Yellow. 17-years-old, from Angel Grove Central. Born in 1985. Billy's mother died of cancer when he was young, and he was raised by his father. Billy was trained in the Jinenkan art by Master Kosugi, a janitor at his school. Billy was a genius.
In 2001, Billy was chosen to become the Blue Tricera Ranger. After the defeat of Bandora, the Power Rangers' Power Coins and Dinozords returned to the One Power, leaving the Rangers powerless.
In 2002, Billy was chosen to become the Yellow Ranger. As a Ranger, Billy controlled the Star Kirin.
Kimberly Hart: Phoenix Ranger. Heaven Wind Star, Pink. 17-years-old, from Angel Grove South. Born in 1985. Kimberly's parents divorced when she was young, and she lived with her mother. Her mother often stayed out late and was rarely home. She never saw her father after the divorce. She learned the Shiranui style from her Uncle Gohun. Kimberly was involved with gymnastics at school.
In 2001, she was chosen to become the Pink Ptera Ranger. After the defeat of Bandora, the Power Rangers' Power Coins and Dinozords returned to the One Power, leaving the Rangers powerless.
In 2002, she was chosen to become the Pink Phoenix Ranger. As a Ranger, Kimberly controlled the Star Phoenix.
Kou:Kiba Ranger. Heaven Roaring Star, White. 11-years-old, from Angel Grove's Chinatown. In 1991, a Gorma named Shadam (although he was unknowingly a false recreation of Shadam) seduced and impregnated a member of the Dai Tribe. His original intention was to use her to spawn a powerful offspring, with a mixture of Gorma and Dai powers, but he fell in love with her. Or perhaps he was just obsessed with her. The Dai woman gave birth to twins, Kou and Akomaru. No one knew she gave birth to twins. In the Gorma tradition, the weaker of the twins is killed so that all the energy is transferred to the stronger. She couldn’t let that happen. She fled with Kou, believing him to be the stronger. She left Akomaru in the care of Dai tribe survivors in hopes that their healers would help him to grow strong. But the Gorma found Akomaru and took him. She knew that someday the Gorma would try to find her again. She also feared that they might be drawn to Kou's power as they were to Akomaru's. She placed a tiger brand on Kou to seal the energy inside of him so he could not be found, then she fled.
Kou was left in the care of grocers in Angel Grove’s Chinatown. In 2002, he was chosen to become Kiba Ranger by the enchanted tiger saber, Byakkoshinken. As a Ranger, Kou controlled the White Tigerzord.
Rocky DeSantos:Tenma Ranger. Heaven Gravity Star, Blue. 17-years-old, from Angel Grove West. Born in 1985. Rocky aspired to become a professional fighter. He studied the Koppouken style at a small dojo run by Master Higashi, a former member of the Hayate Way. In 2002, he was chosen by Master Kaku to become a Ranger. As a Ranger, Rocky controlled the Star Tenma.
Tommy Oliver: Tommy Oliver:Dragon Ranger. Heaven Fire Star, Red. 17-years-old, from Angel Grove North. Born in 1985. Attended Angel Grove North Community High School. Tommy was adopted at the age of four (1989) after his parents were pronounced dead. His adopted parents had two children of their own, Teddy and Chelsea. Tommy and Chelsea shared the same birthday. Tommy studied the Hakkyokuseiken style under the leadership of Master Mugensai at the Hayate Way school in Little Tokyo.
In 2001, Tommy's girlfriend Shannon was critically injured in Bandora's first attack, and Tommy thought she was dead. Bandora placed a spell on Tommy and turned him into the Green Dragon Ranger, leader of her Dark Warlords. Few months later, Tommy's spell was broken, and he joined the Power Rangers. He learned that Kyra, one of Bandora's villains, was actually Shannon. She was taken from Earth and "reprogrammed" as Kyra by Bandora. Kyra/Shannon died at the hands of Goldar. Bandora summoned DaiSatan back to Earth. Tommy lost his powers but was able to access his Kiryoku for the first time to kill DaiSatan. He proceeded to kill Bandora.
In 2002, Tommy was chosen as the Red Dragon Ranger. Tommy learned that his father was actually Tenkasei Ryou,the original Red Dragon Ranger of the Dairanger 6,000 years ago, but his father betrayed his team and became Gorma. Shortly before Tommy’s birth, his father met and fell in love with a woman, Tommy’s birth mother. The Gorma killed his mother to bring Ryou back into their evil fold, and Ryou believed Tommy died in the attack. As a Ranger, Tommy controlled the Red Dragon, Ryuseiou.
NINJA RANGERS
Jason Scott:Ninjared, 17-years-old, from Angel Grove East. Jason's twin sister Janet was killed by members of the Purple Dragon Gang. He was chosen by Zordon to become the Red Tyranno Ranger in 2001. He lost his powers after the defeat of the evil witch Bandora. In 2002, he traveled to Japan to study abroad and became Ninjared after accidentally freeing the Youkai. As a Ranger, Jason controls the Ninja Ape zord, Battle Ape zord, and Red Ape Shogunzord.
Jonathan Hunter:Ninjayellow, 17-years-old, from Angel Grove. Jonathan was raised by a wealthy family who paid for the best tutors to teach him. But he preferred playing video games. He was chosen to study abroad in Japan for a year. As a Ranger, Jonathan controls the Ninja Bear zord, Battle Bear zord, and Yellow Bear Shogunzord.
Richie Trent:Ninjablue, 17-years-old, from Angel Grove. Richie's father was murdered when he was young. He learned that his father's killer had traveled to Japan. So he chose to study abroad as an excuse to enter the country and find the man who killed his father. As a Ranger, Richie controls the Ninja Wolf zord, Battle Wolf zord, and Blue Wolf Shogunzord.
Trini Kwan: Ninjawhite, 17-years-old, from Angel Grove West. Originally from Japan. Trini's father mysteriously disappeared when she was young. He was eventually pronounced dead. Then Trini moved to the United States and was adopted by a family in Angel Grove. Her new father did not approve of her martial arts training. She was trained by her adopted grandfather, Master Tao.
Trini was chosen by Zordon to become the Yellow Tiger Ranger in 2001. She lost her powers after the defeat of the evil witch Bandora.
In 2002, she traveled to Japan to study abroad and became Ninjawhite. Trini learned that her father, Hakumenrou, was a scholar who studied the tales of the evil spirits known as Youkai. Those tales became his obsession. He sought out the tomb of the Youkai and was tainted by the power of Daimamou. He went missing and was presumed dead. He actually became a Youkai warrior, but secretly stayed within their ranks only to defeat them from within to protect his daughter, who he somehow knew would become involved. As a Ranger, Trini controls the Ninja Crane zord, Battle Crane zord, and White Crane Shogunzord.
Zack Taylor:Ninjablack, 17-years-old, from Angel Grove North. Zack was chosen by Zordon to become the Black Mammoth Ranger in 2001. He lost his powers after the defeat of the evil witch Bandora. In 2002, he traveled to Japan to study abroad and became Ninjablack after accidentally freeing the Youkai. As a Ranger, Zack controls the Ninja Frog zord, Battle Frog zord, and Black Frog Shogunzord.
VILLAINS and MONSTERS
Count Dregon:A member of the Royal House on the planet Edenoi. Dregon's older brother was King Lexian. Dregon killed Lexian's son and attempted to kill Lexian himself, but failed. The warlord amassed enough power and a grand enough army to start a war that decimated the planet's surface. Dregon turned most of the people of Edenoi into slaves.
Crimson Claw:One of Dregon's monster insectivores.
Dae'mon: A demon from the planet Edenoi. Ages ago, the demon plagued the planet with an army of creatures. Dae'mon reigned over the world until an Edenyte discovered an ancient artifact called a King Stone. The Edenyte used the King Stone to turn into the warrior known as Ryuuki. Ryuuki defeated Dae'mon and banished him beneath the planet's surface.
Destructosphere:One of Dregon's monster insectivores.
Devi'drago:One of the Six Devi'cor, demon generals of the lord Dae'mon. The Devi'cor were imprisoned beneath the surface of Edenoi along with their master.
Devi'marin:One of the Six Devi'cor, demon generals of the lord Dae'mon. The Devi'cor were imprisoned beneath the surface of Edenoi along with their master.
Devi'mn: One of the Six Devi'cor, demon generals of the lord Dae'mon. The Devi'cor were imprisoned beneath the surface of Edenoi along with their master.
Nefaria: Dregon's lover and right hand general.
Satyr'lin: One of the Six Devi'cor, demon generals of the lord Dae'mon. The Devi'cor were imprisoned beneath the surface of Edenoi along with their master.
Skul'satn:One of the Six Devi'cor, demon generals of the lord Dae'mon. The Devi'cor were imprisoned beneath the surface of Edenoi along with their master.
MISCELLANEOUS CHARACTERS
Northan: An aide of the Eltarian Court on the planet Eltar. Keeper of the capital's library and databanks. A friend to Zordon. A good man who believed in the cause of the Rangers and their work.
Droman: A tiger-like being from the planet Edenoi. A member of the Teegrai race. He was one of about 50 Teegrai who settled on the planet Edenoi to aide the nobles in their fight against Dregon. He was the only one of his people to survive Dregon's takeover of the planet.
Gandar: Magister of the mage academy on Eltar.
Jenai:An Eltarian. Member of the Ruling Council of the Eltarian Court. He disproved of Zordon and the Rangers.
Jestin:A character of Eltarian history. The first Ranger, who defeated the evil warlord Sauron at the beginning of recorded time. Established an Order of Masters and Rangers across the galaxy.
Lexian:King of the Royal House on the planet Edenoi. Grandfather to Prince Dex. His younger brother was Count Dregon. Dregon killed Lexian's son and attempted to kill Lexian himself but failed. Lexian and the remainder of the Royal House were forced into hiding when Dregon destroyed most of the planet and turned the world into a giant slave colony. He led the rebel movement against his younger brother.
Dex: Prince of the Royal House on Edenoi. Dex's father was killed by Count Dregon. Dex went into hiding along with his grandfather, King Lexian, and became field commander of the rebellion against Dregon.
Raisik: A student of the mage academy on Eltar. Specialized in channeling arcane energy from the One Power. He was driven to become the most powerful magick user on the planet by using any means necessary. He was selfish, arrogant, and on the path towards evil.
Ryuuki: Ages ago, Dae'mon plagued the planet Edenoi with an army of creatures. Dae'mon reigned over the world until an Edenyte discovered an ancient artifact called a King Stone. The Edenyte used the King Stone to turn into the warrior known as Ryuuki. Ryuuki defeated Dae'mon and banished him beneath the planet's surface.
Azreanna:A Edenyte. Member of the resistance on Edenoi.
Zordon: Zordon served as a soldier in Lord Zedd's empire more than 1.7-million years ago. He was young and did not realize the empire was evil and oppressive. Zordon broke away from the empire, became a Ranger, and started a resistance movement against Lord Zedd. Zordon left his homeworld of Eltar and fought evil across the galaxy. He followed the evil spirit DaiSatan to Earth. Zordon tapped into the One Power to create mighty beasts to fight against DaiSatan and his witch Bandora. The Ryujinn, an ancient race that lived alongside the dinosaurs, named these beasts "zords" after Zordon. Zordon created a set of Power Coins that allowed six Ryujinn to harness the power of the Dinozords and become Rangers. With the Rangers' help, Zordon banished DaiSatan from the mortal plane. But Bandora placed a curse on Zordon that separated his consciousness from his body. Zordon used the One Power to communicate with the Ryujinn and enlist their help in building a Command Chamber. Zordon used the Command Chamber to appear as a holographic projection. He used a mix of Eltarian technology and magick to create the android Alpha-5 as an assistant in the Command Chamber.
PLANETS
Eltar:A planet near the Galactic Core, often thought of as the hub of trade and commerce across the galaxy. The planet had two main races, the human-like Eltarians and the elf-like Moon Elves. Zordon was from this world, which had one of the few remaining mage academies and praxiums in the galaxy.
Government– The planet was governed by the Eltarian Court, which had a five-member Ruling Council. The Ruling Council was the executive branch of the planetary government. The other two branches of the Eltarian Court were the legislative Parliament and the judiciary Judges of Thymis. Eltar had four main continents divided into 13 peripheries, which were further divided into 54 prefectures.
Capital-Zygria. A description of the capital city: "A Greco-Roman type city within a valley. A network of waterways and canals stemmed from a massive, flat-topped pyramid in the center of the city. A dome-shaped building, surrounded by columns, rested on the top of the structure. The pyramid was made of the same tan-colored marble as the city’s other buildings, most of which had columned, elaborate entryways and rooftops of deep emerald. The city was dotted with spots of greenspace, which were decorated with trees and statues."
Religion – The main religion of the planet was the Church of the Light. The Church of the Light was more of a philosophy, in that its followers didn’t worship a specific deity. They followed the Light, the force of good in the universe. The Church of the Light was established after Zordon defeated and imprisoned Lord Zedd. The Church of the Light was to ensure that the shadow of evil would never again fall on the world. The Church of the Light replaced the Church of the One God, which was the dominant religion before Lord Zedd conquered the world as part of his empire of evil. The Church of the One God and its beliefs were brought to Eltar by invading forces from the planet Zarkadia, homeworld of Lord Zedd, before Zedd fully turned to the forces of evil. The Church of the One God still exists, but its followers are only about a third in number compared to the Church of the Light. Before the Church of the One God, the people of Eltar worshiped a pantheon of gods similar to the Greek gods on Earth. Some still worship the pantheon of gods. The Moon Elves worshiped the Goddess of the Moon, Alune, who they believed saved them from being wiped out by Sauron eons ago, at the beginning of recorded time.
Races– The native species were Eltarians and Moon Elves. The Eltarians appear human. The Moon Elves were said to be the first humanoid race to evolve on Eltar. Their skin was tinted with shades of blue or violet. They had long, pointed ears. They were mostly secluded on a northern continent but took part in the planet's government and economics.
Edenoi: Once a planet of artisans, scholars, and teachers. The planet was governed by the Five Great Houses, which were presided over by the Royal House. A member of the Royal House named Count Dregon abolished the Five Great Houses as part of a military coup. He wiped out most of the planet and turned the population into slaves to mine for gases beneath the planet's surface. The gases were toxic to the planet's atmosphere once unleashed. The toxins turned the surface into a wasteland.
RACES
Eltarians:Appear human. Inhabitants of Eltar.
Edenytes: Appear human. Inhabitants of Edenoi. Nearly extinct following the collapse of their society at the hands of Count Dregon. Most Edenytes are slaves.
Moon Elves: Said to be the first humanoid race to evolve on Eltar. Their skin is tinted with shades of blue or violet. They have long, pointed ears. They are mostly secluded on a northern continent but take part in the planet's government and economics.
Teegrai:Tiger-like humanoids. Their true homeworld was unknown, even to them. For as long as any of them could remember, their people had been slaves. Many of the Teegrai had broken free from their slave traders and vowed to fight oppression and slavery everywhere in the galaxy.
