Character Index

Characters are listed in alphabetical order by their first names, or last names if only their last names are given in the story. The character list is divided into three sections: the rangers, the villains, and miscellaneous.

THE RANGERS:

Blake Lee:Steven "Blake" Lee,Navy Thunder, 17-years-old.  Born in 1991. Blake lived with his father in Angel Grove Central after his parents separated, while his brother Hunter lived with their mother Lilly in Angel Grove East. Blake was trained in the Jinenkan style by former Power Ranger William "Billy" Cranston. Blake also studied the Jinenkan art at the Ikkazuchi Way. As a Ranger, Blake controls the Navy Beetlezord and is armed with the Stag Breaker. He has the power of lightning.

Hunter Lee:Elliott "Hunter" Lee, Crimson Thunder, 18-years-old. Born in 1990. Hunter lived with his mother in Angel Grove East, while his brother Blake lived with their father in Angel Grove Central. Hunter was trained in the Kukishin style by former Power Ranger Adam Park. Hunter also studied the Kukishin style at the Ikkazuchi Way. As a Ranger, Hunter controls the Crimson Insectazord and is armed with the Thunder Cannon. He has the power of shadow.

Justin Stewart:Hurricane Yellow, 16-years-old, from Angel Grove West. Born in 1991. Justin's mother died during child birth, and his father left him at the Angel's Haven Children's Shelter while moving from military base to military base. Justin's father quickly remarried a woman, who gave birth to Justin's younger half-sister Erika. Erika's mother and Justin's father died in a car crash shortly after Erika was born. Justin was trained in the Koppouken style by former Power Ranger Rocky DeSantos before enrolling in the Hayate Way. As a Ranger, Justin controls the Hurricane Lion zord and is armed with the Lion Hammer. He has the power of earth.

Rachel Gray:Hurricane Blue, 16-years-old, from Angel Grove South. Born in 1991. Rachel was the second-oldest of four daughters in her family. Her dad was a former hippie turned Bible thumper, and her mother was an atheist. Rachel aspired to become a famous vocal artist. She was trained in the Shiranui style by former Power Ranger Kimberly Hart before enrolling at the Hayate Way. As a Ranger, Rachel controls the Hurricane Dolphin zord and is armed with the Sonic Fin. She has the power of water.

Shurikenger: The mysterious Green Ranger, whose true identity and origin were a mystery when he first appeared.

Simon Kaden:Hurricane Red, 16-years-old, from Angel Grove North. Born in 1991. Simon was 9-years-old when he was caught in the middle of Bandora's first monster attack on Earth. He and his older sister Maya quickly became friends with the Power Rangers at the time. Simon was raised by a foster family who eventually adopted him. Simon was trained in the Hakkyokuseiken style by former Power Ranger Tommy Oliver before enrolling at the Hayate Way. In 2007, he became Gao Red to fight against the Org. He and all of Earth's champions lost their powers at the end of a massive battle against the demon beast Mogralord. As a Ranger, Simon controls the Hurricane Hawk zord and is armed with the Hawk Blaster. He has the power of air. 

THE VILLAINS:

Centhrax:Belonged to a swarm of space-faring insects that plagued the galaxy like termites. The bugs were pursued by extermination squads. Lothor rescued Centhrax because of his unique abilities. Centhrax had a natural connection to cosmic power that gave him glimpses of the future. Centhrax was the Third Spear of the Jakanja Seven Spears of Darkness. 

Chubo:Leader of the Jakanja Biological Corps. Second Spear of the Seven Spears of Darkness.

Feral:A Fan Beast servant of Vexacus.

Kapri:Fourth Spear of the Jakanja Seven Spears of Darkness. She fired the bazooka that launched enlargement torpedoes and scrolls to make Zergain and Chubo's monsters grow.

 

Kelzaks: Grunts of the Jakanja.

Lothor:Raisik was a member of the mage school on Eltar. He specialized in arcane power. In 2003, Raisik challenged former Power Ranger Tommy Oliver to a duel and was soundly defeated. In 2005, Raisik was recruited by a dark warlord calling himself Tao Zento. Tao Zento taught Raisik dark magick and how to channel shadow energy. His first attempts to amass power were defeated by Tommy and the Astro Rangers (see Ultimate Power Rangers Vol. 1, Season Five, Rangers in Space Chapters 10 and 11). After his defeat, Raisik swore never to fail again and adopted a new name: Lothor. He chose the name Lothor based on the following story: A powerful demon named Lothor ravaged the landscape of Eltar during the planet's distant past. A band of five warriors called Talions defeated the insectoid demon, but not before it possessed the mind and body of one of the Talions named Zyron. Zyron betrayed his people and attacked the planet. His former teammates managed to kill him and banish the power of Lothor to the astral plane.  

Marah:First Spear of the Jakanja Seven Spears of Darkness.

Satora'kura: An old friend of Lothor’s. He assisted Lothor in the attack against the Rigel Expanse in 2005 AD, when Lothor was still known as Raisik and fought against the Astro Rangers (see Ultimate Power Rangers Vol. 1, Season Five, Rangers in Space Chapters 10 and 11). Satora’kura became the Sixth Spear of the Seven Spears of Darkness following the Rigel campaign.  

Tao Zento:His origin was a mystery. Tao Zento recruited Lothor to assemble a space pirate army called Jakanja. Tao Zento kept his presence hidden from all the Jakanja except Lothor. 

Vexacus:Seventh Spear of the Jakanja Seven Spears of Darkness.

Zergain:An insectoid creature not much larger than a human hand. Zergain piloted a humanoid mech and led the Jakanja Mecha Corps. Fifth Spear of the Jakanja Seven Spears of Darkness. 

MISCELLANEOUS:

Akuma: Known as the Dark Man. Literally manipulated Tommy into existence for the sole purpose of using him to break the cycle of time and recreate reality. First appeared as somewhat of a mentor to Tommy. Made his true nature known at the climax of the Mogralord War in early 2008.

Ayuma: A friend of Sensei Kaku who can channel the One Power to heal. Ayuma lived in Angel Grove's China Town.

Ashley Hammond: Former Yellow Zeo Ranger and Yellow Astro Ranger. Ashley and former Power Ranger Tommy Oliver got engaged in 2006. She lived with Tommy at the Hayate Way while attending college, because she and Tommy could not afford a place of their own. She helped design the Gyro Morphers and Storm-zords.

Caplin, Mr: Angel Grove North Community High School principal.

Clint: Rachel Gray's singing agent.

Dark One: An ancient, evil being who was imprisoned before the creation of time. 

Erika Stewart: Justin Stewart's 15-year-old sister. Justin's mother died during child birth, and his father left him at the Angel's Haven Children's Shelter while moving from military base to military base. Justin's father quickly remarried a woman, who gave birth to Justin's younger half-sister Erika. Erika's mother and Justin's father died in a car crash shortly after Erika was born. Erika was taken to the shelter and raised alongside her brother after her parents' death.

Gozen: A mystical, young woman who appeared human. She was knowledgeable about the ancient, lost art called Ninjetti. (First appeared in Ultimate Power Rangers Vol. 1, Season Five, Rangers in Space  Chapter 10)

Julia, Miss: A worker at Angel's Haven Children's Shelter. She worked closely with Justin Stewart's younger sister Erika, and Erika considered her a mother.

Kane Hallowell: 10-years-old. Was caught in the middle of the Power Rangers' battle with Toxipod and transported to Demon City along with his sister, Mindy Hallowell.

Kouishiro: Formerly Kamen Rider Kuuga. Kouishiro accompanied Maya on her archeological expeditions across the world.  

Manning, Dr: A scientist at the 3rd TOTAL R & D Lab.

Marauders:Shadow Blade and the Red Python.  

Maya Koji: Maya's parents died when she was young. Her biological grandfather, Professor Koji, was deemed too emotionally unstable to look after her. So she was taken in by a foster family in Angel Grove North. She lived with the same foster family as Simon Kaden. After Simon was officially adopted by the family, she moved on with her life and explored various archeological sites across the world.

Michael Copon: A famous actor. Stars in the show Time Police. (Chapter 16)

Mikhail: Heavenly Saint of Fire. He is one of the Heavenly Saints, cosmic beings that reside in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Mindy Hallowell: 13-years-old. Was caught in the middle of the Power Rangers' battle with Toxipod and transported to Demon City along with her brother, Kane Hallowell.

Ohghi: Shaman of the Ginga Tribe, which resides in a pocket dimension within the woods between Angel Grove and Stone Canyon.

Rabago, Reiki Master: A former member of the Ikkazuchi Way who knew Hunter and Blake. He used his shadow energy to heal.

Ryuuta: A Stone Canyon boy who is friends with the members of the Ginga Tribe, which resides in a pocket dimension within the woods between Angel Grove and Stone Canyon. 

Ryouma: Formerly the Red Galaxy Ranger, but he and the rest of Earth’s champions lost their powers at the end of the Morgralord War in early 2009. He lives in the Ginga Tribe, which resides in a pocket dimension within the woods between Angel Grove and Stone Canyon.

Shou: Formerly the Guyver. After losing his powers at the end of the Mogralord war, Shou accompanied Maya on her archeological expeditions across the world.  

Stephen Cardenas: A private detective. (Chapter 15)

Tommy Oliver: Formerly the Dragon Ranger, although he wielded other powers as well. Tommy became a Master and forged the Hurricane powers after receiving a vision from The Power and Zordon's spirit. He was in charge of the Hayate Way and lived at the school with his fiancé, Ashley Hammond, and his 4-year-old son Tyler Oliver.

Tyler Oliver: Four-year-old son of former Power Rangers Tommy Oliver and Kimberly Hart. Kimberly moved to Florida and hid her pregnancy from Tommy in 2003. Tommy took custody of Tyler when Kimberly was killed in 2008. Tyler lived at the Hayate Way with his father, although Tommy's parents often helped out by watching the boy.

Wes Collins: Formerly the Red Time Force Ranger, but he and the rest of Earth’s champions lost their powers at the end of the Mogralord War in early 2009. Now he is field leader of the Silver Guardians, which works beneath INET.

William "Billy" Cranston: Formerly the Kirin Ranger, although he wielded other powers. Billy started a small company out of his garage in 2002 when he was still in high school. Local industrialists recognized Billy's genius and helped him expand his company, called INET. INET quickly became a strong player in the science and technological world. INET first entered into the Ranger business in 2004 when Billy helped design and construct the Zeo-zords. Billy also helped Zordon create the Astro powers in 2005, and INET created the Lightspeed powers in 2007. Billy and INET had a massive consumer following, including an online fan club lead by someone with the screen name Imperialwar. 

Xanatos: God of Death. One of his many names.
